The team will be selected by our Team Leader.
Many veterans can attest to the majesty but tough conditions you can experience around the Tongariro National Park where many soldiers have been tested in the nearby Waiouru Training Area. Join us for the annual Round the Mountain trip where we circumnavigate the Tongariro Crossing and Mount Ruapehu. The track is one of my favorites as it takes in such differing terrain. In one day you can go from cool refreshing beech forests to open plateau desert landscapes, to rocky volcanic riverbed trails.
Please note this years RTM is a full traverse of Tongariro Crossing and Mt Ruapehu, so represents a good challenge for those who are keen.
