RV App — Terms of Use
Terms and Conditions for SSAANZ Members
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the RV app (“RV”, “the app”), provided by the Soldiers, Sailors and Aviators Association of New Zealand (SSAANZ, “we”, “us”, “our”), a registered New Zealand charity. By creating an RV account, you agree to these Terms, our Health Information Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you don’t agree, please don’t create an account.
2. Who Can Use RV
RV is for SSAANZ members. Public self-service account creation is disabled — accounts are provisioned for current SSAANZ members. You must be 18 or older to hold an RV account.
A member may add household/whānau to their membership for event registration purposes. These additions are managed under the member’s own account, are not separate account holders, and do not need to meet this age requirement themselves.
3. Your RV Account and Signing In
There’s no password. You sign in using a one-time link emailed to the address on your membership record. Keep your email account secure — anyone with access to it can sign in as you. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at info@ssaanz.co.nz immediately.
4. What RV Does
Through RV you can:
- View SSAANZ event listings and register for events
- Read news and notices from SSAANZ
- Use the wellbeing/crisis-support feature (see our Wellbeing & Crisis-Support Addendum)
- View your digital membership card
- View partner offers on the Perks screen, once partners are confirmed
Features are added over time — not everything described here may be live on day one.
5. Your RV Account Is Not the Same as Your SSAANZ Membership
Your RV account gives you access to this app. Your SSAANZ membership is your relationship with the charity — the two are connected, but they are not the same thing.
6. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your RV account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account:
- Does not end your SSAANZ membership. Your membership record stays with us, and cancelling or changing your membership is a separate step (contact
info@ssaanz.co.nz). - Does close your website login. RV and the SSAANZ website share one sign-in, so deleting your RV account also ends your access to the website under that login.
We may also suspend or delete an account that breaches these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
7. Event Registration, Health Information and Waivers
Registering for an SSAANZ event through RV may ask you to complete health and suitability questions and accept an event-specific waiver (our Activity Waiver and Release of Liability, AWRL). These are handled under our Health Information Privacy Policy — in short: asked fresh for every event, deleted once that event is completed or your registration is cancelled, and seen only by the people who need it to run that event safely.
Attending an SSAANZ event is subject to the AWRL for that event, regardless of what you register for through RV.
8. Community Features
Where RV includes a notice board, community, or messaging feature, your use of it is governed by our Community Guidelines. We may remove content, or suspend or terminate an account, that breaches those Guidelines.
9. Wellbeing & Crisis-Support Feature
RV includes a wellbeing/crisis-support feature described in our Wellbeing & Crisis-Support Addendum. This feature is a next-day follow-up service, not a monitored, real-time emergency response.

10. Content You Share
If you post content through RV (for example, photos or notice board posts), you keep ownership of it, but you give SSAANZ a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the app and, unless you tell us otherwise, on SSAANZ’s website and social media for association purposes. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share, or anything that breaches our Community Guidelines.
11. Partners and Perks
Where RV displays offers from SSAANZ partners, those offers are provided by third parties. SSAANZ doesn’t guarantee the availability, accuracy, or terms of any partner offer, and any transaction you make with a partner is between you and that partner.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use RV to:
- Break the law
- Impersonate someone else
- Share another member’s personal or health information without their consent
- Upload harmful code
- Attempt to access another member’s account or data
13. Availability and Changes to RV
RV is provided as-is and its availability isn’t guaranteed. We may add, change, or remove features, and may need to suspend the app for maintenance. We’ll try to give notice of material changes where we reasonably can.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SSAANZ is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of RV. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or your ACC cover for personal injury, and nothing in these Terms affects the AWRL you sign for a specific event, which remains the governing document for participation risk at that event.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll let members know through the app or by email. Continuing to use RV after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
